As MacConsultants we have been serving the greater Sacramento area since 1996 before rebranding as Intelimaq in 2004.
The owner, Gunner, has been involved with computers since high school in the early 1970’s and learned to code with FORTRAN and COBOL programming languages while at Hudson Valley college.
After his stint at Hudson Valley he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he earned and held a Top Secret security clearance while also furthering his knowledge of computers and electronics. Later in his career he became involved in the personal computer revolution, boosting his skills with Timex-Sinclair, TRS-80, Apple II, DOS and Windows computers in both home and office environments. After years of suffering through several iterations of Windows Gunner bought his first Macintosh computer and has nto gone back.
After being honorably discharged from active military service after twenty years, Gunner worked for several computer and security related companies before being hired by Horizon Instructional Systems Charter Schools for the one and only Macintosh Help Desk position. There he assisted and instructed more than 200 home-school field-instructors throughout California on the use of email, word processing, file management, web applications, system maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
Gunner’s years of experience led to the formation of MacConsultants then INTELIMAQ where he assists his clients to fulfill their home and office Apple system needs.
In early 2007, Robert helped develop several OS X related courses for Placer School for Adults, instructing students in the use of OS X, Apple Mail, iTunes, iPhoto and Pages. He continues to instruct adults in their homes, at their offices, or at the ComputerWorks training center in Yuba City, California.
In August of 2008, Gunner earned credentials as an Apple Certified Support Professional and an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician contracting his repair and service expertise to ComputerWorks of Yuba City, and as an instructor for OS X applications and security.
